We have posted this Privacy Statement to help you understand how personally identifiable information you submit (known together as "Personal Information") and non-personally identifiable information AircraftFuel gathers from your use of AircraftFuel's Web site (www.AircraftFuel.com), software, and services ( together, the " AircraftFuel Service") will be treated. Please read on to learn more about our commitment to your privacy. By using AircraftFuel.com (the "Site") and the AircraftFuel Service, you signify that you have read and agree to our Privacy Statement. If you do not agree to this Privacy Statement, please do not use our Site and the AircraftFuel Service.

Protection of Children's Privacy

AircraftFuel and its subsidiaries have special concerns about the privacy of children. Please note that only individuals over the age of 18 with credit cards can subscribe to the AircraftFuel Service.

Information Collection and Use

AircraftFuel is the sole owner of the information collected from the AircraftFuel Service. Your Personal Information can only be collected when you voluntarily provide it.

What is "Personal Information"?
Personal Information is individually identifiable information about a person. This information may include a first and last name, credit card number, a home, billing or e-mail address or a personal identifier that reveals an individual's e-mail address, or a telephone or social security number. Personal information also includes a persistent identifier, such as a customer number held in a cookie (see below for definition of "cookie"), where such identifier is associated with individually identifiable information.
Information from Visiting the Site. If you are only visiting the Site but do not sign in using your username and password, and do not attempt to submit a registration or participate in a survey or promotion, we will not collect any Personal Information from you.
Registration Information. In order to use the AircraftFuel Service (as defined in the AircraftFuel Terms of Service located at http://www.AircraftFuel.com) you must establish an AircraftFuel Access Account. During registration for the AircraftFuel Service, you are required to give certain contact information (which may include your first and last name, username and password, e-mail address, and home and/or billing address). We also collect your credit or debit card number or your checking or other bank account number. We may give you the option to provide additional information about yourself, such as your income level or gender so that we can provide a more personalized experience for you. However, this information is not required in order to register for the AircraftFuel Service.
Transaction Information. If you are a vendor, when your customers access the AircraftFuel Service to purchase your products AircraftFuel will collect information regarding such transactions. This information may include the date of a transaction, the type of transaction, the amount and beneficiary of a payment.
Information From Third Parties. AircraftFuel may receive information from consumer reporting agencies and other third party verification services that AircraftFuel may use to verify or authenticate your registration information. For example, this may include verification of your home or billing address. We also may track and collect Personal Information regarding your transactions with our affiliates. This information is used to improve our services. We combine information from third parties with information we may already have in order to improve your level of service.
Browsers and other Internet or Web Site Information. AircraftFuel may track and collect the computer IP addresses from which you came to the Site, information regarding your Internet browser, and information regarding the pages you view on the Site and your use of the Site and the AircraftFuel Service generally.
Other Technology. We may use a technology stored on your hard drive that contains information about you to record information so that you do not have to re-register to use the Services and to find out how you use the Services and to check your computer and inform us which applications, software and versions you have on your computer. This technology also may be used to provide AircraftFuel information to improve AircraftFuel's level of service to you.
Surveys and Promotions. From time to time, we may request information from visitors to our Site and AircraftFuel subscribers via surveys. Participation in these surveys is voluntary and the user therefore has a choice whether or not to disclose this information. Information requested may include Personal Information, such as contact information (for example, name and shipping address). Survey information may be used for various purposes, including monitoring or improving the use and satisfaction of this Site and/or the AircraftFuel Service.
Links. Our Site may contain links to other sites, including web sites directed to children. Please be aware that we have no control over the practices or content are not responsible for the privacy practices of such other sites. We encourage our users to be aware when they leave our Site and to read the privacy statements of each Web site that collects Personal Information. This Privacy Statement applies solely to information collected by this Site and the AircraftFuel Service.
In addition, this Privacy Statement does not apply to the practices of companies not owned or controlled by AircraftFuel, or to people that AircraftFuel does not employ or manage. This Privacy Statement does not govern any exchange of information between you and any third-party affiliate of AircraftFuel. AircraftFuel does not monitor, and is not responsible for, the privacy and data use policies of these third parties. We recommend that you review their policies (likely to be found on their Web sites) before accessing their services or Web sites.

How is Information Used?


Use of Personal Information.
Use of Personal Information. We may use your Personal Information to provide, improve and customize the AircraftFuel Service for you in order to make your use of the AircraftFuel Service more enjoyable; to deliver content and advertisements that we think you might be interested in; and for our internal marketing purposes. From time to time, we may use your Personal Information so that we can send you information about AircraftFuel, our services, and promotional material from us and our business affiliates in which you have expressed an interest.  We may also use your Personal Information to verify your qualifications for certain services and bill you for requested services. We may use your Personal Information to contact you with important news about the use or maintenance of your AircraftFuel Access Account or to send you announcement updates regarding the Site and our services.
Use of Non-Personal Information. We may use non-personal Information to analyze trends, administer the Site and the AircraftFuel Service, track and analyze your usage of the Site and AircraftFuel Service, improve the AircraftFuel Service, and for external marketing purposes.
Communications from the Site.
Newsletter. If you wish to subscribe to our newsletter, we will ask for your contact information such as name and e-mail address. Out of respect for your privacy, we provide a way to opt-out of these communications. Please see the Choice/Opt-out section below.
Service Announcements. On rare occasions it is necessary to send out a strictly service-related announcement. For instance, if our service is temporarily suspended for maintenance we might send you an e-mail. Generally, you may not opt-out of these communications, though you can deactivate your account. However, these communications are not promotional in nature.
Choice/Opt-out. You are given the opportunity to 'opt-out' of having your information used for purposes not directly related to our Site at the point where we ask for such information. Users who no longer wish to receive our newsletter and promotional communications may opt-out of receiving these communications by replying to an e-mail with "unsubscribe" in the subject line or by e-mailing their opt-out request to privacy@AircraftFuel.com.

Disclosures of Personal Information to Third Parties

Disclosures to Affiliates. AircraftFuel may share and disclose to its affiliated companies your Personal Information, as described in the Registration Information and Transaction Information paragraphs above. These affiliates may use this information, for example, to offer you services and products that you request or that you may be interested in, or to otherwise assist AircraftFuel in providing services to you.
Disclosures to Non-Affiliated Third Parties. AircraftFuel may share and disclose to unaffiliated third parties your Personal Information, but will not do so unless (a) you specifically authorize such disclosures, or (b) in the following circumstances:

  • As necessary to maintain and/or operate the AircraftFuel Service, or to provide you with a product or service that you have requested. For example, we may disclose your information to third party payments processors and authorization services;
  • To process an AircraftFuel Transaction, or to investigate or resolve a dispute or error associated with such a transaction.
  • As needed to enforce our Terms of Service, or otherwise protect the security or rights or interests of AircraftFuel, its users, or any third party;
  • To investigate or prevent an actual or potential fraud or other illegal activity involving the AircraftFuel Service;
  • With respect to your Registration Information, as described in Section I above, to third party companies that perform marketing services on behalf of AircraftFuel or to other financial institutions with whom we have joint marketing arrangements;
  • When we have a good faith belief that the law, regulation, government authority or any legal process requires disclosure;

Disclosures of Aggregated Information. We may also disclose only in the aggregate form, our statistical analyses or demographics of users to affiliated and unaffiliated third parties. Time to time, we may share traffic data, non-Personal Information, or aggregated demographic information with affiliates and unaffiliated third parties, such as our advertisers. Such information is not linked to any Personal Information that can identify any individual person.
Information from Other Sources. We may obtain information about you from third parties, and combine such information with information we may already have in order to improve your level of service. Traffic data may be linked to Personal Information to customize the services for you.
We collect information from our users at several different points on our Services. Your Personal Information can only be collected when you voluntarily provide it.

AircraftFuel's Commitment to Data Security

Protecting user privacy and Personal Information is a high priority at AircraftFuel.
We are diligent in our efforts to safeguard your Personal Information. AircraftFuel maintains physical, electronic and procedural safeguards that comply with federal regulations to guard your Personal Information. Unfortunately, no electronic communication over the Internet can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. While we strive to take great care to protect your Personal Information, we cannot warrant the security of any information that you submit to us, and you do so at your own risk.
We also take precautions to protect your Personal Information off-line. Access to all user information is restricted. Only our employees, agents and processors whose jobs require accessing users' Personal Information are granted database access or administrator-level accounts on servers that contain such Personal Information. Finally, all servers containing users' Personal Information are kept locked in a secure data center and require a secure login to access them remotely. TRUE?
Remember to sign off our Site and close your browser window when you are finished using it. This is to ensure that others cannot pose as you online. This is especially important if you are at a terminal that is accessible to others, such as the library, at school, at the workplace or at an Internet café.

Updating Personal Information

Correcting/Updating/Deleting/Deactivating Personal Information. If your Personal Information changes (such as zip code, phone, e-mail or postal address), or you no longer desire to receive the AircraftFuel Service, you may correct, update, delete or deactivate your Personal Information by e-mailing our Customer Support at privacy@AircraftFuel.com. You also may access a history of your AircraftFuel Value Transactions by visiting the Site. You may not, however, alter or amend Transaction Information without the prior approval of AircraftFuel.
Lost or Stolen Information. You should notify us if your user name or password is lost, stolen or used without permission. In such an event, we will delete that user name or password from, and update, our records accordingly. Contact us by e-mailing us at privacy@AircraftFuel.com 

Notification of Changes to the AircraftFuel Privacy Statement
If we decide to change our Privacy Statement, we will post those changes to this Privacy Statement, the homepage of our Site, and other places we deem appropriate so that you are always aware of what information we collect, how we use it, and under what circumstances, if any, we disclose it. We will use information in accordance with the Privacy Statement under which that information was collected.
If, however, we are going to use your Personal Information in a manner different from that stated at the time of its collection we will notify you via e-mail. You will have a choice as to whether or not we may use your information in this different manner. However, if you have opted out of all communication with our Site, or deleted/deactivated your AircraftFuel Access Account, then you will not be contacted, nor will your Personal Information be used in this new manner. In addition, if we make any material changes in our privacy practices that do not affect user information already stored in our database, we will post a prominent notice on our Site notifying users of the change. In some cases where we post a notice we will also e-mail users, who have opted to receive communications from us, notifying them of the changes in our privacy practices.
This Privacy Statement is effective as of November 2, 2005. AircraftFuel reserves the right to, from time-to-time, add to, change, update and modify this Privacy Statement. Any such addition, change, update or modification not including new usage of personally identifiable information will be effective 10 days after notice of such change is posted on our Site.

Business Transitions

In the event AircraftFuel, Inc. is acquired or transfers its assets to a successor we reserve the right to transfer your Personal Information to the successor. You will be notified via e-mail and/or prominent notice on our Site 30 days prior to the transfer of your Personal Information if, as a result of the business transition, your Personal Information will be used in a manner materially different from that stated at the time of collection. You may opt out of the transfer of your Personal Information, as set forth in our "Notification of Changes" section above.
